Trick or Treats!

Dumping out his loot to show Grandma. He then continued to do this over and over all night. He did not even want to open one, just dump and fill his bucket.
So very excited about the new concept of going to neighbors houses trying to walk inside and then getting a treat. How will I explain tomorrow that trick or treating happens but one simple time a year.

Gearing up to go. Dad agreed to hut up three houses, sounds like deal. After that we hit about 6 more with Isaac, Lesley, Will Grandma and Papa. We also had soup and hot cider, it was a perfect low key Halloween.

The thriller of a lifetime

For YW tonight we learned the Thriller dance. It was so fun! We had a strobe light and a fog machine and Micheal Jacksons famed video playing on a big projector. Me, Eden (aka MJ) and Susannah
I really think this look suits me.
A big group shot, Natalie in the front in the red shirt
taught us the dance, she was awesome!
It is crucial to get a good stretch in before
a intense workout.

I loved dressing up in 80s gear, and the girls did as well! A big thanks to Kris for lending me the outfit, I need to get it back to her for her Monday morning aerobics class.

Mail!

Even Deacon likes to get mail.
Checking out the Halloween card.

When he realized it had a dino on it he made this face and this sound: Roooooooar!

Then I told him it was from Grandma Leasure and he
said "Oh yeah! Thank you Grandma!"

On the first snow day of the year

I can not think of a better place to be.

Scenes from........

A bed filled with too many toys. It is simply not worth the fight, if you want to sleep with a giant tractor and a real live pumpkin, who am I to judge?

Halloween Fun

This week for YW we carved pumpkins. I strung Halloween lights on my back patio and it worked out perfectly. Cute young women!
The finished products, I made Curt come out and judge them, he gave us all an award, I like that.
Love being in Young womens so I have an outlet for all the fun things I want to do!
Deacon was beyond thrilled to be a apart of the fun, all night long he kept saying, " wow pumpkin fire" Overall a big hit!

CALIFORNIA!

We had such a good time on our trip to California! Here is a recap of our excellent time. BE WARNED lots of pictures. We (Curt Don and I) flew in on Wed. and arrived at around noon, we were starving so Kira (curts sister) drove us directly to In N Out for a delish hamburger. Then we got back to Kiras and got settled and made some plans for the next few days. The Pearl Jam concert was that night in LA so we decided to make a stop at Sprinkles for a cupcake or two. Kira and I had been before and loved it but neither Curt or Don had. I forgot my camera for this whole first night, boo hoo. I had a red velvet cupcake which was truly the very best cupcake I have ever had. The only downfall? The red velvet heartburn I had all night. Then we hit up a mexican joint for some food before the show. We found the place online and were a little hesitant, it ended up being great! The funny part about it though was the whole time we were there we saw no other customers and only ONE employee the whole hour we were there, strange.

The show was awesome, Pearl Jam did not dissapoint, they are so fun to see. After the show we headed home. The next morning I got up and ran, it was great because the weather was fantastic and Kira lives right by a lake that I ran around. We headed up to laguna beach so Don could swim in the freezing ocean while we all watched. We ate at a great place called the cottage, I even love the name! It was excellent food and Curtis felt proud because we all agreed the tuna melt he ordered was the beast meal. After the beach we headed to LA where we saw a taping of the Conan O'brien show. It was so fun! Especially because the musical guest was Backstreet Boys. HA! We had two screaming girls in front of us and the ushers were getting so mad at them, so hilarious. I would reccomend going and doing this, it is free and so fun. On the way home we stopped and ate at a great italian place Kira reccomended, it was so yummy. Then we headed home.

The next morning I got up and ran, Don left the house ten minutes after me and finished the same 5 miles I ran ten minutes before me! But still a beautiful run. I spent the morning looking through Kiras old scrapbooks (so so funny!) with her and we all just hung out. Around three we headed to DISNEYLAND! So much fun. Don had not been for like 25 years and we did not dissapoint him. We made sure we were starving so we could eat a turkey leg right away! through the course of the night we also ate: churros, popcorn, cream cheese filled pretzel (WOW) dole pinnaple whip float, and I am sure some other crap I am forgetting! It was also awesome that we had a wheelchair to get us to the front of every line. (Kira has a bad back) It was so cute to see the place all decked out for Halloween, especially the haunted mansion which is all nightmare before Christmas theme, seriously so amazing inside!

We had so much fun and Kira was a great hostess, I can not wait for my next trip out there!

At the Cottage waiting for our breakfast embracing the season.
Curt smiling because he ordered the delish tuna melt.
Nightmare before Christmas Haunted Mansion ride.
Hanging out watching a bit of the firworks show.
On the famed tea cups
I love this picture especially that Curt is wearing mouse ears, classic.
Whats so wrong with a turkey leg? NOTHING I SAY!
Another turkey leg!
Is it so wrong that at Trader Joes I picked out a baguette and sharp cheddar for a snack?
How did the biggest guy in the group manage to get oushed around the most?
CAn you believe Curt opted out of this picture? So unlike him.
Me and a bearded beach babe.
Me and Don at the beach, this was the closest I got to the water.
Group shot at the Cottage. By the by, I use this blog as a journal as sorts so I hope you enjoy every last detail, but really it is so I can remember all the things I want to! And I can not thank all the people who watched Deacon enough, he a had a great time. And we were so happy to see him!

Oh yeah, sure!

The other morning I had to go up to Ogden, I wanted to get out of the house early so my whole day was not sucked up. I decided it would be a good idea to wake Deacon up with the promise of a donut. I went into his room and he was sitting up sweetly in his big boy bed. I said "Deacon do you want to go get a yummy donut for breakfast?" He replied with a big gasp and then said "Oh yeah, sure!" I do not ever want to forget this little bit of sweetness. For the record it is now a huge part of his vocabulary.

Two tiny cupcakes

For two tiny guys.

P.S. Please take note to the fact that Stockton also loves the superman slippers.
