CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!! (finally!)

We had such an amazing Christmas. I knew it would be a blast with Deacon but I did not realize it would be this great. My parents and Curt's parents are such good fun grandparents and it makes Christmas that much more fun. We started the day at my house and had our own little Christmas there, after that the craziness began as we raced all over town to get and give lots of gifts. Now that we are older and our parents have everything they could ever want instead of giving them gifts we each do a service project and then make all little scrapbook of each project and give it them. Curtis my little brother Walker and I went grocery shopping and took it all to the Ronald McDonald house, it is where families whose children are in the hospital stay while they children are being treated. My heart was full as I thought how much love and support I would have if anything like that ever happened to me. I was so happy I could help make someones burden a little lighter. I am excited to think of next years project! Anyway we had a very merry Christmas and hope you all did too!

see you in two!

Today my littlest sibling, Walker left on his mission. He is going to Singapore and I could not prouder. For those of you who have not been to the MTC before it is the craziest place. They have you gather in this great big room and first thing have you sing Called to Serve right off the bat, my older brother and my sister and I all started crying immediately, then we started laughing cause it was so silly to already be crying. We said our goodbyes shortly after and I felt like sobbing just because it is my little brother, he used to say "pup" scouts instead of "cub" scouts for goodness sakes, but I held it together all with Deacon asleep on my shoulder. I could not help but think how amazing it is to be holding my own little boy in the very place that I hope one day he will be to start his journey. I love the way Curtis' mission shaped his life and personality. I feel extremely blessed to have a husband who gave my little brother really sweet advice before he left. The thing about Curtis is he had so much fun on his mission and I think everyone should have fun in every journey. So here is to Elder Bickmore: Have Fun! See you in two!

This year we.....

had a baby. wore and applied a whole lot of makeup(me). Held a lot of friends (first!) new born babies. Played board games like crazy. Ate A LOT( I was pregnant). Took up yoga(me again). Took picture after picture of our pride and joy Deacon. (me and Curt) Tiled a kitchen perfectly on his first try(Curt) Hung out with friends almost everyday. Cooked a lot of really good dinners (both of us). Watched 3 seasons of lost in about a months time (both again). Fell in love with the office (me, Curt was telling me I would forever but for some reason I was slow to come around. WHY?). Spent a lot of time with my mom. Went to a Cowboys game(certainly not me I hate football). Spent time with my sister and fell in love with her two girls. Lost a sweet grandmother(Curtis). Spent New Years just the two of us(hey I was real pregnant) Played poker at the cabin(Curt) Celebrated my moms 50th with a bang. Spent hours getting our newborn to smile(me and Curt). Wore a bikini 7 months pregnant (it was so fun). Dressed Deacon as a chicken for Halloween. Taught some really good lessons in church(Curt). Read the final Harry Potter(boohoo). For that matter bought the final Harry Potter at midnight(thanks Lauren). Watched my last brother open his mission call, it was exhilarating. Laughed a lot(both) cried a lot(mostly me) and lived a really amazing year!
Here are just a few pictures of our awesome year. (don't worry they are not of me in the bikini.)
Christmas pictures are coming soon, happy new year love you all!

Go Cowboys! (I guess?)
I am only willing to show a pretty fully clothed bikini shot.
At the cabin. I love that sling, if you have a baby go get one!
Good friends and their sweet babes. ( I just need Owen Dane and Alfie in there!)
See lots of makeup.
And best of all look at that sweet tiny baby.

One week to go!

Can any one else believe Christmas is one week away? Deacon loooves the Christmas tree but more than anything he loves the presents underneath. Since we put it up I have let him play with one present( the one in the pictures) and he has adored it. He will lay on his back and just play and play with it, just yesterday he finally got the best of it. Looks like it will take him three years at that rate to open his presents Christmas morning! I hope everyone is having as wonderful a time as I am, I also hope everyone finds some time to do something for someone who really needs it this year.

Nice husband, even better Daddy

The flu has been at our house. Mostly for poor Curt but also me, pray it does not hit Deacon. So yesterday Curtis could not hold Deacon at all for fear he would pass it on. This morning as I was dragging my self to get ready a little I could hear Curtis playing with Deacon and Duke our dog. I heard Curtis say, " I love my little Family." Well I love my little family too and I love that Curtis loves his little boy and little puppy (which coincidentally he sometimes calls Deacon) so I am posting a couple pics of Curtis with two of his loves. Don't you just love the one of my niece and her soccer team?!!

One chubby baby!

I am posting this mainly to show off the rolls on Deacons arms. I have always known he was a chub but until I saw this picture on my full computer screen did I realize the magnitude of the situation. What an adorable baby I must say! Also I have never been so excited for Christmas, I can not wait to play Santa. I am all done shopping for Deacon, no one tell me anything cool to buy him because I am crazy and I will do it. Also I saw baby Owen and he is to die for! Post a picture Angie! Merry Christmas everyone hope you are filled with cheer!
