One week to go!

Can any one else believe Christmas is one week away? Deacon loooves the Christmas tree but more than anything he loves the presents underneath. Since we put it up I have let him play with one present( the one in the pictures) and he has adored it. He will lay on his back and just play and play with it, just yesterday he finally got the best of it. Looks like it will take him three years at that rate to open his presents Christmas morning! I hope everyone is having as wonderful a time as I am, I also hope everyone finds some time to do something for someone who really needs it this year.

The flu has been at our house. Mostly for poor Curt but also me, pray it does not hit Deacon. So yesterday Curtis could not hold Deacon at all for fear he would pass it on. This morning as I was dragging my self to get ready a little I could hear Curtis playing with Deacon and Duke our dog. I heard Curtis say, " I love my little Family." Well I love my little family too and I love that Curtis loves his little boy and little puppy (which coincidentally he sometimes calls Deacon) so I am posting a couple pics of Curtis with two of his loves. Don't you just love the one of my niece and her soccer team?!!

One chubby baby!

I am posting this mainly to show off the rolls on Deacons arms. I have always known he was a chub but until I saw this picture on my full computer screen did I realize the magnitude of the situation. What an adorable baby I must say! Also I have never been so excited for Christmas, I can not wait to play Santa. I am all done shopping for Deacon, no one tell me anything cool to buy him because I am crazy and I will do it. Also I saw baby Owen and he is to die for! Post a picture Angie! This is a shout out to my darling friend Angie who has a baby in her belly who does not want to come out. I sooooo know how you feel. I ate that stupid garlic pizza I walked a million miles I did everything (I mean everything, which is not so easy with a gigantic belly) people recommended to naturally induce labor. Hang in there he is coming! I bet you anything he wants to make his grand debut on the first day of December! Anyone who has some words of encouragement for Ang post em! I simply can not wait to squeeze your newborn!

Is your little brother going to Singapore?

Well mine is! I can not believe he is old enough to be going on a mission! It is outrageous. We are all so excited for him. When he opened his call he said " I didn't even think of that! I'm going to Singapore!" Then we all screamed and Deacon cried and my mom just looked worried. It was awesome.

My favorite things about November and December

One thing you should know about me is I love holidays and I love lists. So with that being said I should definitely make a list of my favorite holiday things! I would love in anyone else wants to make a list too, its fun! I know I can at least count on you mom. Also I am going to attach pictures of my favorite holidays past.

1. TREES!!!! I love to put it up early and take it down late, I feel sad every year to take it down, I always feel like I should keep it up at least until my birthday. (January 2nd)

2. Gingerbread houses! Last year some of my friends and I had a party to make them and it was so fun.

3. Presents, I love to surprise people with good presents, it is so fun especially since I am terrible at getting surprised.

4. Being around my family, duh.

5. Martha Stewart's Christmas edition of her magazine, it is to die for.

6. Oprah's "my favorite things" show. As my friend Kallin said he would quit his job to be on it, its that good.

7. Ribbon jello. If you don't know what it is you don't deserve to.

8. Making a list (I know I love lists) of 100 things I am thankful for, I do it almost every year before Thanksgiving and I love it.

9. Singing Christmas music way to early in the year.

10. Spending time with friends new and old.

1. I will be 25 this year but since we live close to so many friends I still feel very young. (which I love)
2. Being a mom is the funniest thing ever.
3. I love the movie Royal Tennebaums- I could honestly watch it every day and not be bored in the slightest bit.
4. My little brother is waiting for a mission call and even though I have so much going on in life I can not tell you how much I will miss him.
5. I own about 300 eyeshadows, no this is not a joke just a problem.
6. I love going to church with a baby, it has never been so entertaining.
7. I have a not so secret crush on Steve Carrel.
8. I have truly never met any one person funnier than Curtis and I bet there is at least 5 people out there who agree.
9. One time I did ten flips underwater in a pool in St. George Don't believe me? Ask my brother Issac, one of the best stories ever told.
10. I could not have a funner family- Curt Duke and Deacon, who could ask for more.

I love the fall!

Does anyone else love the fall as much as I do? I love Halloween I love love love Thanksgiving and I love that we are a mere few weeks from me putting up our Christmas tree! (for my mom mere months.) We just got family pictures taken, I was a bit hesitant to take pictures of our tiny family but they turned out so good. My friend Angie took them, she is amazing. (you can find her website through my friend list, Angie) Deacon is growing so much, in fact yesterday he crawled! He only did it the one time but I am counting it, he is rolling over like crazy and then yesterday he crawled. He will be six months old tomorrow and I remember the day he was born like yesterday. I hated packing up all his newborn clothes, but I had to make room for little tiny red adidas running suits ala Chaz Tennebaum. Enjoy the pictures!

Blog and blab about my baby

This blog is set up for the express purpose of bragging and blabbing about my baby. But I have looked at others blogs and they do the same so I guess it is socially excepted. Great. So I have one of the top five best looking babies ever created. Seriously we took a poll. He is so much fun and amazing. We carved pumpkins tonight and it was so fun just to take pictures of him by pumpkins on his first Halloween season. Deacon is going to be a chicken for Halloween and a fine one at that.
