Cabin!

The sun setting on our drive back from West Yellowstone, it was so beautiful in real life.
Deacon is very serious about relaxing at the cabin.

Two cowboys in cowboy hats from 1912 probably.

Some delicious french fries in West Yellowstone, the boys were very excited about them.

The best two bucks I spent on the whole trip.
Me and my little buckaroo in front of a beautiful old run down building a mile or so from our cabin. Notice my boots?

Deacon and Alfie running as fast as they could down the dirt road leading up to the cabin.

The two little buddies. Each morning we were there they would wake up pleased as pie that they were in the same big loft as each other. One morning Deacon woke me up with the biggest grin on his face and said "look Alfie!" It makes me so happy to see my child being friends with my friends children.

These boots were my great grandma Maxines. My Grandpa said I could have them since they fit me (well fit with a little pain but totally worth it.) and noone else has ever asked for them. They are and will forever be one of my most prized possesions. Look for me in them all fall.
As for Curtis, he spent the cabin trip sleeping the day away and playing poker almost the whole night. It was perfect for everyone.
I love going to My families Cabin in Island Park Idaho, I have been going for as long as I can remember and it gets better as I get older. We ate way too much cooked some yummy dinners and stayed up too late! Annie and I got up one morning and ran about four miles down the snake river, it was so gorgeous I loved it. I can not wait to go back up with my family in a couple weeks and do the same run. Overall we had a blast and I am so glad we got to share it with our friends.

I love seeing these pictures, especially of the little ones playing--reminds me of you guys when you were little, getting dirty and having a great time. Can't wait to go up there with you all!

So jealous. I only get to get up there every 5 years or so. I love that place.

Cabins are the best. And I love the boots. I want some just like them.

I spied the boots before my brain read the words about them. They are spectacular.

I don't have any boots from my gramma, but I think I'll go buy a pair so my granbabies can wear them at my cabin 25 years from now.

Ummm. Slightly jealous of the boots, but they probably wouldn't fit me, and they have gone to a loving home, so I feel at peace. Treat them well. Treat them well.
